Re'al Christian is an art writer and art historian based in New York. She has contributed to publications including Art in America, Art Papers, Art in Print, BOMB Magazine, and the Studio Museum in Harlem’s Studio Magazine.

She is an MA candidate in Art History and Curatorial Studies at Hunter College and a curatorial fellow at the Hunter College Art Galleries. She earned her bachelor’s degree from New York University, where she double majored in Art History and Media Studies.

As a writer, Re’al is deeply engaged with the work of artists of marginalized identities and seeks to promote their individual stories. Born in Missouri, Re’al currently resides in Queens.
